Anyone else have a higher (much higher) than normal electric bill this month?

Featured Replies

Normally, I pay around 1,000 baht to 1200 baht.
Today, I got my bill and it was over 2,000 baht.
Anyone else notice a huge increase?

Does your bill state how many kilowatthours and what you pay for one?

I'm still on my 250-300 baht range.

Yes mine too, usually 2.200/2.300 this month 3.000 and more than 200KwH than usual.

Both shop and house same as always in usage.

Maybe something to do with FEB being a short month, different billing cycle etc. Mine is up a little but I am putting airconn on more as it gets warmer.

Yes get those aircons cleaned
April and May are scorchers.

Three extra days in the month and the hottest month of the year so far, meaning the aircon's working harder.

Our bills are down compared to last year after replacing a couple of older aircons.

OK. Thanks everyone. My neighbors are complaining too.
Leads me to believe that maybe they read the meter at a different time than they said they did.

Only other explanation I can think of is the heat and more fans running, but that should be minimal.

We have one aircon and only use an hour or two a day.
Maybe I should get it cleaned.

Since you mention you got your bill only yesterday it does seem the reading date is later than usual.

The date they read the meter is on the bill, and is actually the same time as it get in your letter box, because it is read and printed at your location.
