Following complaints that tourists and locals were up to no good the Huay Kwang police decided to raid a four story establishment in Rachada Soi 3 yesterday.

They found a lot of men in singlets and shorts milling about.

There were empty condom packets on the sofa, on the floor and in the toilets.

The cops said that the place was used by Thai and foreign men.

TNA said that the management had applied for a license to sell food, soft drinks and alcohol in 2015. It was run as a sauna-cum-fitness center, they said.

In their headline they said that the place had not had a licence since 2015.

Adding to the confusion many of the tourists managed to slip out while the investigation was ongoing.

Some who were tested for drugs returned a purple result.

An unnamed officer from the Huay Kwang police said they would have their samples rechecked at a hospital and that the operation was ongoing.

No name was given of any police or the establishment itself.

TNA stands for Thai News Agency.

Funny turn of phrase --  It was run as a sauna-cum-fitness center, they said.

You are reading my mind! Just wondering what they mean: "sauna-cum" in an fitness club or "cum-fitness" in a sauna:whistling:

I'd be conflicted too. Some of those customers are quite fetching.

And: 'Adding to the confusion many of the tourists managed to slip out while the investigation was ongoing.' Keystone indeed.

This is R3 gay sauna, same owner as Mania sauna an Silom Piphat soi 2, they are open 24h, most visited by Thai and Asian tourists, now sure packed with Songkran

And yeah they discriminate older men over 50, normal entrance fee for the Songkran week 450 bath, men over 50, meaning Farang over 50, 1800 bath

Somewhere saying dont their to visit R3 or Mania or will will fine you 1800 bath, so so bad! What is the owner going to do when he turn 50 years old?

Could be worse. I know of such a "club" in the U.S. that bans people over 50 entirely. No, it's not nice, but you can see where they're coming from. The customers are basically their product. Like Facebook!
