100 Tonnes of Trash Collected Every Day of Chiang Mai Songkran

CityNews – Over 100 tonnes of waste has been collected every day during the Songkran festival, according to the Chiang Mai Municipality.

 

On April 17th, a municipality spokesperson told reporters that over 100 tonnes of waste has been collected each day across the city during the Songkran Festival. Black plastic bags and piles of waste were strewn across the city, with trash collectors complaining about an increase of at least three times the amount of waste to be collected.

Don't complain, you want tourist for extra income, so you have to calculate this also.

Really ? I guess they wont be when the recycle payment lorry comes round collecting the bottles, tins and plastic.
