Great idea to help those in need! Kamnan in Trat sets up donation fridge in the street

 

 

A kamnan (local official) in Trat province has put an old refrigerator unit in the street near his offices to encourage the local population to donate unwanted or extra food to those in need.

 

It comes with the slogan: "If you don't have, take - if you have plenty then share it!".

 

 

On the side is writing in Thai that can be translated as "Giving leads to giving".

 

The "distribution point" is the idea of Anurak Eksinchon who is the kamnan of Nong Sone sub-district in the eastern Thai province.

 

He told Manager that he had an old fridge he wasn't using and decided to encourage the locals to give to the needy.

 

His actions have drawn praise and attention with hundreds of shares of the story across social media.

 

Manager said that it was a splendid idea to help the needy.
