I think I started a thread like this one time

out in the world of sanity but I've just seen

yet another thread this evening which motivates

me to try the "ignore"function".

Every weekday one of my first visits when I

fire up the box is the Bangkok Bank FX page.

It is mostly a depressing sight and as I try not

to open the first bottle of Chang before 17.00

te effect can last a while.

However , in an apparent determined effort

to counteract the mellowing soothing effect of

said Chang , there is this character who's

sole mission in life is to post "baht soars"

threads. He does it several times a day sometimes!

If I don't manage to "ignore" the fugger

I am seriously gonna put my delicately

formed fist through the fuggin screen one

of these nights (to quote the song).

BTW the offending "person" goes by the nik

of "Topfield". If you come across him tell him

.... no don't bother he wouldn't understand.

I was surfing thru the Forums today and came accross the finance sub-forum, one which I would not normally frequent, and lo and behold there was my old mate Toppers.

One quick glance told me, I bet he is a pain in the butt for the regular users, he throws in a hand grenade in the immigration sub-forum every now and again and then disappears.

This is purely a personal aside, as I am sure he will be here soon

I personally wouldn't put him on the ignore list, just ignore his posts F'say, but that is my opinion only.

I just find it amazing that I came across those posts today.

I don't use the ignore button - and probably never will. Doesn't it seem like something for stroppy bitches? No offence farangsay, I don't read that forum so I don't quite know where your coming from with that member. Just my 2 bahts.

"Ignore" is awesome -- I wouldn't be able to stomach Thaivisa.com without it.

However, it needs to be taken a step further to not just allow individual posts to be ignored, but whole threads started by particular users and also tie that into the "View New Posts" and other search routines to eliminate the junk over there, too.

It'd also be nice if it were possible to find out who are the most ignored users.

Ya, I would like to push this button on some puerile and prurient members, but then I wouldn't have a chance to post my backlash on their stupidity, which I have done and the MODS chastiste the other guy and leave me to rant. The point is, say your rant in a general way and you cannot be accused of flaming, you wankas.

So if somebody puts me on their ignore list, do I get a message saying so? Do they get brownie points or something for building up their ignore lists? Can I test it? Then, can I "unignore" my test victim?

I agree, TV should post an ignore member list. I'd probably be number one on that, too.

I would never ignore anyone. There are a couple (yes, just a couple) that I have been tempted to do, but no, it clashes with my belief in free speech. I may not agree with them but I respect their right to express their view.
