faraday
Bridge of Spies is a movie about Gary Powers whose plane got shot down and subsequently sentenced to 10 years in prison, Powers' only hope is New York lawyer James Donovan (Tom Hanks), recruited by a CIA operative to negotiate his release. As usual a very well made film by Steven Spielberg and a very good performance by Tom Hanks. Are there any good Torrents for this?

Popular Post chrisinth
Watched QT's latest movie, Hateful 8 last week, well worth watching if you are into QT movies. Not sure how he gets away with his scripts in this PC governed world we find ourselves in, but it works for his movies. Its another western if you haven't heard of it. Starts slowish but worth watching through.

JHolmesJr
Woody allens latest film is out and i turned it off after 20 min (thats my threshold of tolerance). flyDelight
The Hateful Eight - don't understand all the fuzz except from that it's leaked of course. But blockbuster? No just another western, seen many better movies.

Just watched it last night. Worth watching if you are a Bond fan, excellent action scenes.I think it is just the one release of the screner at the minute, good quality video & audio. Downloaded @ 2.1GB Hmmm….I dunno…..gave it a whirl as it is a Bond after all but the tone of whole franchise has changed in just about every way. Bond used to be a suave, charming, high maintenance, sexist rogue with expensive tastes, a weakness for booze, gambling, women, gadgets and high jinks…and we loved him…even female audiences knew he was just good fiction. There were always some outlandish villains with interesting quirks and over-the-top plots about to unleash global mayhem until he swooped in and defused the whole damn thing singlehandedly. Adolescent boys would watch the films and want to be a spy…he made it look like the most glamorous job in the world…..poles apart from the truth, but it was escapism at its best. Ever since Daniel Craig, showed up, he's morphed into a brawny, hard nosed thug with a penchant for extreme violence. Even the cover songs have gone to the dogs…bring back shirley bassey.
Popular Post rijit
Spotlight , excellent movie covering the boston globes original uncovering of the roman catholics 'church's' mass hush campaign of the priesthoods child molestation the danish girl: abso loved it next to the above and carol, my pic of the recent releases saw 'spectre' in the cinema imo average to medium quality special effects over a poorly told story,, looks to me an attempt to start a new series but a return to the mean for bond, shame thought after the recent boyd and co's offerings the bond world was looking up..
Will27
Watched a couple of music doco's the other day.The Ties That Bind: The creation of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's 1980 double album "The River"is recalled in this new rock-doc that includes archival footage as well as recent interviews.Thought this one was pretty good. Probably more for diehard fans of the Boss though.Amy: The story of Amy Winehouse in her own words, featuring unseen archival footage and unheard tracks.I'm not a fan of Winehouse's music but thought this was a seriously good show.Really tragic story. I'm not a fan of Winehouse's music but thought this was a seriously good show. Really tragic story. It's close to genius….very uniquely constructed…the film maker uses a particular song she has written and analyses the lyrics to interpret and present what was going on in her life at the moment….and it's quite spot on. Same director as Senna. BTW, her boyfriend…what a douchebag!!!!
JHolmesJr
Just watched Trumbo….very nice. All about the mccarthy era pursuit of screenwriter Dalton Trumbo. Gosh that Agatha Christie one is over 70 years old---- when I was younger it played in the west end along side her other big hit--Mousetrap, I think it was called 10 little Niggers then. (I wonder why they changed it) Then in the 60s 10 little Indians..Its been on TV & film so many times--Even had a Russian version in the 80s---hard to believe everyone doesn't know the ending. Maybe the BBC has put a new twist to it & its not the same killer---- I suppose (as its all free) its worth a look. I enjoyed "The Revenant" I guess with Tom Hardy & DiCaprio how could it not be good---The fight with the bear was really frighteningly realistic.

Popular Post chrisinth
Just watched Legend, the latest Kray twin movie. This time the story is told through the eyes of Frances Shea, who was Reggie's girlfriend until her death through OD. Obviously not for everyone, but thought it was good with a good mix of black humour going through it. Tom Hardy plays both Ronnie & Reggie and does a brilliant job of it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3569230/?ref_=nv_sr_2
chrisinth
Recommendation......................... Another well worth watching movie recently watched is Sicario ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3397884/?ref_=nv_sr_1 ) Extract from IMDb: "An idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico". Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin play the parts well. Depending on your viewpoints on the war against drugs, not as far fetched as it may come across. If you can't eradicate, then control is the next best thing...........
evadgib
Catherine Tate's Nan: E1 was hilarious when viewed this morning. The best way to describe it to anyone not familiar with the character is a female Alf Garnet who is every bit as blunt! It's on the Beeb.
