I want to take a Thai registered motorcycle into Vietnam. I heard other riders have done so. Is this a difficult process? Will I have to pay bribes? Can I ride in Vietnam indefinitely or that isn't allowed without a Vietnam plate?

As a single rider? Probably not possible. All I've heard is that you are required to ride in a group with local guide to be able to take your own bike into Vietnam. I gave up any plans to ride into Vietnam when I heard of the difficulties from other people.

You'd have to convert to a right-hand food cart.
