I hear that word/expression being used quite often but don't know the meaning. Can somebody please enlighten me?

To my ear, it is more or less "rip-roy'. It means"o.k."

It can mean "sorted" as in its all sorted out now.
Also used when someone has an accident.. maybe translates as "and thats that"

Starts with an 'R'

Task finished or completed.

Is my broken m/c repaired and ready for collection? ....... reeyap rawy. เรียบร้อย

Trying to learn Thai from Issan farmers is not effective.

เรียบร้อย rîiap-rɔ́ɔi ???? tidy, orderly

Yes in central thai and pronounced with ร it means as in the picture. However, almost always only hear it as meaning everything is in order or done or taken care of. Eg. Your in a bank and opening an account. When finished the teller says riep roy, meaning its all done.

One thing to note in issan dialect liep loy (same but pronounced with L (ล) means หล่อ or handsome. I cannot remember if it can also be applied to women eg suay (สวย).

So if your hearing this often in issan then its prob just women chatting saying your handsome
