webfact Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Rotten school milk recalled as Bangkok teachers complain Picture: Sanook Teachers at a Bangkok school spotted that Thai produced UHT milk was rotten before it was given to the children. Complaints were made to the authorities by the eagle eyed staff at Pathai Udom Suksa school in Viphavadee Rangsit. The Dairy Farming Promotion Organisation admitted that there was a problem to the government's agriculture minister in a letter and 110,000 cartons were recalled. Sewongsak Sanguanwongwijit of the Thai Milk Agricultural Cooperatives Group that produced the batch said that it came from a faulty sealing machine. The problem was limited to one lot from 19th April. Just one of four machines was faulty. Apologies were made and congratulations were due to the teachers for spotting the problem. New batches will be issued to 12 schools affected. Source: Sanook -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2018-06-12
impulse Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Is the same milk from the school program sold to the public? Or was all the milk from the defective machine earmarked for the students? Enquiring minds want to know. Some of us dullards are curious, too. 1
Bangkok Barry Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 No quality control then. No-one noticed the machine was faulty and no-one noticed the product was rotten. What century is this? 1

lvr181 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 I think I read some time ago about Thai school milk being sold in shops in Cambodia? (I can stand being corrected). If there is a baht or two to be made even rotten milk can be delivered.
