Border run restrictions

Featured Replies

One of my friends, who is from Kenya, is wondering whether there are some restrictions in place at borders for Kenyans. And which border/country is the most friendly to Kenyans; Myanmar, Cambodia, or Laos.

I told her that I was only aware of Ugandans treated differently at immigration, not getting 30 days extensions on tourist visas, but instead only seven days. But that I have never heard of Kenyans being given a hard time at borders, except for a bit of questioning, perhaps.

I don't think Kenyans have the same restrictions as other African countries.

They can get Lao visas on arrival while most others cannot.

No problem for Cambodia as well.

The can also get get e-visas for Myanmar.

They get a 30 day visa exempt entry for Malaysia.

You post this sarcastic comment because no one had replied in 15 hours of your original post!

I must apologise for myself and other members for not being glued to our screens ready to answer your questions immediately they appear!

It is always possible that there are very few with the experience to answer your question.

Most of us would have to rely on Google to get answers which I am sure you are just as capable of doing!
