The government and the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) have been keeping a close watch on former prime ministers Thaksin and Yingluck Shinawatra even though their close associates insist  that their movements have no political agenda.

The two former prime ministers, who are on a run overseas to avoid legal actions, have been getting continuous media attention in Thailand over the past few weeks. Their pictures taken during trips to various countries posted in the social media including Instagram, have kept the two alive in the Thai political circle.

A source close to Ms Yingluck tried to explain that the two have no political agenda, adding that they are just trying to keep their family and close associates in contact through social media. The source revealed that on June 21, Thaksin and Ms Yingluck, who will be either in England or in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates, will send an important message to the Thai people via the social media to mark a special occasion.

Or, put another way...

They follow them on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Paranoia to the extreme when it comes to these two and the man !

"Maj Gen Piyapong Klinpan, an NCPO spokesman, said that in following up the activities of the two fugitive former prime ministers as well as some academics and former Pheu Thai MPs who have escaped legal action to stay in other countries the government and the NCPO are only performing their duty. He denied this is part of an attempt to gauge the political situation."

The political situation is what the junta worries about the most.  They have even said so prior.   Otherwise, why bother ?  Nobody is going to extradite them back to Thailand.

They do so many things at once, true multi-taskers those NCPO people. :coffee1:

Agghh, the usual monthly,

'We are monitoring them and keeping them under watch blah blah blah'.

I await the next comprehensive release from the NCPO saying,

'We urge all parties concerned to locate them'.

They have absolutely no intention of ever finding them.

NCPO/Prayut scared like little girl.

Cry Cry, Weep Weep, Sob Sob

it embarrass.

Brother Prayut, who are you kidding?

What's done is done.

Things are looking good for Thailand.

Please tell the junta crew to focus on the issues of today.

Yes, there was some dirty business going on.

The Obama and Clinton mess didn't help things.

Yingluck helped the farmers and the other people have their voices heard.

That's a blessing for all of Thailand.

Thaksin....well....?

The future looks great for Thailand.

When you are ready, have an honest election.

You guys will be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Oh, on that cannabis issue, please go ahead and get it done.

See you guys soon... ☺✌

Yingluck only ever listened to one voice, and did as instructed. A pretty and not bad actress on occasion too. But as a billionaire I doubt she's bothered on iota!

Shame they didn't do that the day of her trial. Lord knows what this pointless stable-door surveillance operation is costing.

Real talent in multi-tasking and still able to keep their hands on the trough not missing a single satang.

My heroine? What are you on?

Of course they do... with excessive zeal.

It hasn't yet dawned on them that Thaksin was just a totem - much like the other one, but Thaksin was elected. Cut off the head of the people's totem pole and the people will just make another one. As has already happened 3 times. You'd think they'd learn, but apparently not.

There comes a time when it is better to just let sleeping dogs lie.

1.. They would be a nuisance if you got them back anyway & resultant court decisions

might just incite more unrest & embarrass.

2.... The boys can find other reasons to have an overseas jaunt
