The food for sure. After 30 years in Thailand I got spoiled by the food. In my new home in the Philippines the food is just crap compared to Thailand although we have chilies to brighten my day. They don't have pak chee, corriander here, bummer. I have bum guns installed in my house here so don't have to miss that unless I am touring around the country.

Gotta be the fruit for me and the fresh coconut water (not the stuff in a box !).

The availability of street food , markets, 7-11's etc.

Night markets, where you can stroll around and peruse the tat or just sit and people watch !

Plus the wonderful countryside together with the amiable weather means you can go sightseeing virtually all year round and not just the 1 month of summer that the uk has.

Being able to go for a meal on any day or time and not being asked 'Have I booked.? And even if the place is bursting at the seams a table is always found for you. But the bum gun is still at the top of my list.

Water is freezing, so has to be plumbed into the hot water supply with a regulator so it isn't too hot. Then a non return valve has to be fitted to stop faecal bacteria going into the tap water. All done by a very expensive plumber.

However, yes, you can fit one in the UK.

Well I did try to have a thread about positive things we like in LOS, but between the pathetic trolls and the discussions about girls, it's degenerated into the usual stupid ranting, so thanks to those that also tried to have a decent conversation, but I'm giving up on it.
