Hola hola,

I want to buy a used BMW from a dealer. This will be my first time buying a car in Thailand. I've found 3 BMW's that look interesting. However, the 2017 models cost almost the same as the 2015 model. So I'm wondering if there's anything wrong with the 2017's, hah. Heard a lot on this forum about car problems due to floods, and other shady things people try to do. So I would love to get your feedback on these 3 BMW's:

Why do you think the 2017 models cost about the same as the 2015 model?

The cost for a new 320d dropped a lot in price when the taxation changed to emissions and it seems the older cars are not dropping to compensate.

For example, the list price of a new 320d M Sport with standard BSI is now 2,459,000 THB, previously it was around 3,000,000 THB

The 2015 model is way overpriced.

2015 is an M sports model, you seem confused at such an early stage of the process

There wasn't really that much difference in the price, the M Sport part is just a badge and a few M accessories, steering wheel etc. could never be considered a proper M car.

The 2015 is shown with a red plate and 0 to 5k mileage.

Is it a showroom/test drive model?

Not been driven in 3 years?

That's not a red registration plate, it's the dealers name just like the second one in his list!

Never bought one, but must admit the saving on new demos ive been offered have been tempting. My advice, realise they are not value for money compared to Honda Accord, Toyo Camry. be prepared to loose a lot more, stick with big dealers, avoid private sales, change every 3 years and enjoy it. Dont cry in yer Beer when you wake up.!!. i dont but should.! not a wise move realy.
