I have a Thai license. I need to apply for a new IDP as my current Thai IDP will expire shortly. I am planning a trip to Japan and we may need to hire a 10 seater minibus. The rental companies require that section D on the IDP is stamped (this is for vehicles with 8 or more passengers). My current IDP does not have a D stamp. Is this something I can ask for when I apply for the new IDP?

I don't know the Japanese rules, but sounds to me a license allowing bus driving is required.
