First-ever ‘MINI Expo’ set to present the full MINI family range

MINI Thailand is set to bring a mix of sporty performance, driving fun and uniquely classic British-inspired design to the halls of CentralWorld for the “MINI Expo 2018” from August 16 to 19.

 

Leading the line in this latest showcase of cutting-edge automotive innovation in the premium compact segment is the newly upgraded MINI Cooper S Countryman, with a price reduction of up to Bt460,000, followed by the full-fledged members of the MINI family.

 

The event boasts a full line-up of 17 models, including the MINI Cooper S Countryman with a new profile, the stylishly revived version of the MINI Hatch, MINI Convertible, MINI Clubman and MINI John Cooper Works, plus a range of exciting activities that the true MINI lover should not miss, MINI Thailand said on Tuesday.

 

The expo will also come with a massive gathering of MINI owners for an exclusive boot sale in “MINI THE BLACK MARKET”, to be held in front of CentralWorld from 3pm to 9pm on August 19.

Total BS, nothing like the classic Mini - just a very expensive (in Thailand) bloated kraut mobile

I had minis in the UK at various times many years ago and really enjoyed driving them, although they did tend to be rust-buckets particularly along the  welded seams.  At that time the mini-coopers were winning most of the cross country and circuit races and were a delight to watch.  I still think that the German designs are very good and of better quality BUT the price in Thailand , even with the advertised discount , is absolutely ridiculous for such a small car.

My chum had a 970cc Cooper S, they had the same final drive as a stock mini, it was mental...I used to clone my own Cooper S by using a stock 1100cc "A series" engine and shoved it a mini, great fun..

 Years ago the Mini was a good small economy car today it is  a piece of over priced crap.The Japanese copy are a lot better and cost less..

So the price reduction means it's only twice the UK price rather than 3 times.....Bargain!

Assembled in Thailand but BMW still wants to sell it at import prices.
