Motorcycle Tax

Bought a 2nd hand Fino about 4 years ago. Shop I bought it from was doing the test/tax for me annually but tax is due and shop has vanished and I'm unable to contact them. Bike is not in my name as I kept putting off doing it (avoid immigration whenever I can) but I have the green book and a copy of the signed transfer of ownership form but no ID copy. The bike is registered in BKK not Petchaburi/PKK where I live. I presume I can get the roadworthy test done anywhere? but how long is it valid for before I get the tax and do I have to tax it in a BKK DLT office? Also, is there a fix to get the bike in my name without the previous owner's ID copy? (have copy of the signed form as mentioned above).

Any advice much appreciated.

You need to look for a shop displaying this sign near where you live

they can do the vehicle test, issue the mandatory insurance and get tax disk for a small extra fee.

They maybe also able to help get the bike into your name.... there is no need to go to Bangkok for test registration or tax..there should also be no need to go to Bangkok to  resister the bike in your name  but you will need  to get either a "certificate of residence"  from immigration...or show a work permit  or Yellow "house book"    there is also no need to for the bike to be in your name   to get tax and insurance.
