Sanook reported that the ex wife of a foreigner was stabbed to death by her love interest while he was away abroad.

The phu yai ban in Na Mai sub-district of Undon Thani called Ban Dung cops who found 45 year old Ampornrat naked and face down next to a motorcycle.

She had been stabbed in the chest and her lover had fled.

Witness Sriphrai said that they had heard arguments coming from the one story property that has a restaurant attached. This was nothing unusual.

Ampornrat's foreign husband had gone abroad and she often argued with her "gik" called Prasan.

But next morning the neighbor saw a blood trail and alerted the phu yai ban.

Prasan or "Mote" was soon in custody. He was arrested at a resort hotel in Nong Khai.

He had a wound to his right hand and bloodstained clothing.

He said he had lent the victim 40,000 baht and wanted it back. An argument developed.

He waited until she had finished in the shower then stabbed her to death before dragging her corpse to the area beside her motorbike.

He then fled to Nong Khai where he was caught.

Sanook called the victim the foreigner's ex wife without giving further details.

so why even mention this guy, he was not even married to her it says,, *   EX, *

The last paragraph says they don't know the status of the marriage.  They may have still been married, with him out of the country.

He may be her ex simply because she's no longer walking the earth.

Mentioning the foreigner is a good cautionary tale for foreign husbands back home, sending money to their beloved here in LOS.  Isn't "gik" a reference to a lover on the side?  The side of what?

Probably looking to blame the foreigner, as he has more money to extort than the gik.

'If foreigner not here, Thai not hurt', no wait, that doesn't work with this case.

Prasan is now going to be charged with putting a naked body in view of the puplic, without presenting a happy ending.

Although the photo has been pixelated, there does appear to be some traditional-but-outlawed-pointing going on.

Happens everywhere, of course, but jeez.  Friend of my wife lives a few doors up from us on the same soi, she's got her 20 something daughter, 20 something son and his gf living there in close quarters.  3 times in the past year, explosive fights erupt, can hear it all the way down at our house - her and the daughter tag teaming the son, all of them screaming at the tops of their lungs, slamming doors repeatedly, throwing and breaking things.  Eventually the son leaves like a tornado in a car or on the motorbike - a lakorn soap opera drama in living color.   I expect one of these times, it'll end with a Rescue Unit parked up out front, wheeling a corpse into the back of a pick up truck.

Yup!  This is Thailand.  "Love it or leave it!".  If possible, not feet first.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!  Adding the word "farang" in the headlines increases attention even if a farang had nothing to do with the story.  People nowdays have got so used to the headlines having little to do with the content that they just accept it.

Well, adding "farang" sure increases attention on TV, doesn't it.

What a numskull. Give me back my money or I will kill you! You do not have my money? You die! What a super freak. A man equipped with the emotional development of a 13 year old. Who kills a human being over $1200? Perhaps there is something else going on here? Perhaps this story is a bit more complicated than what it appears to be?

No need any more complication. They already kill guards in BKK for not paying back borrowed lunch money.

Ok guys little story. I was actually was told this by inside person who actually does this. In Ubon many Thai ladies who are married to farang wait till he goes home to visit family whatever reason an then get dressed up and sell their bodies for sex. The reason being? What are lots oh Thai ladies addicted to apart from sex? GOLD  These ladies are no spring chickens most in their 50s and when hubby says no to buying gold wait till he does his trip and off they go to make money But proves a point as in this case how many of these charming Thai ladies have giks? Food for thought ?
