I think you'd be surprised how many wealthy educated Thai females want a foreign partner, in many circles, they even hire them for parties just to stand around and be seen like some form of decoration or trophy. From personal experience, I've met a couple of females in this category on airplanes, aka captive audience, one made a point of telling me she wrote childrens books for daddy's publishing company, had her own condo and car and loved opera....did I like opera and would I like to go with her to watch a performance of something or other. A nice lady but not nearly my type or even close to it, I wanted to tell her that ping pong shows were my thing but thought that might be a bit harsh! So yes, there's a cache associated with having a British male escort, but only if well dressed etc etc so I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.

As far as I can determine there aren't many women in the world looking for 60+, fat, balding, beer-swilling tradesmen as 'escorts'. (give or take 10 years and 50lbs.)
