Information On Private Limited Company

Featured Replies

Once a private limited company is formed and registered with the appropriate government agency, what information is publicly available about the company, and where?

I believe I asked this information some time ago and got an answer, but cannot find it anymore. Now that I need information on a particular company I could PM or email Sunbeltasia, whom I plan to hire to get the information for me anyway, but I thought others might be interested in the subject, too.

I hope to find as much information as possible on the company in which I am interested without having to show my hand, i.e. my name, at this stage but probably not everything I hope for will be available from public records. I am in particular thinking of the following:

1. date of foundation

2. founders (promoters)

3. number of shares and nominal value per share

4. currently registered capital and paid-up capital

5. current shareholders (name, address, phone number) and their shareholdings

6. balance sheet for the last five years

7. income and expense statement for the last five years

8. current officers (President, Managing Director, General Manager, etc.)

9. annual remuneration of officers

10. dividends paid for the last five years

11. articles of association (bye-laws)

What of this, I wonder, is available from public records, meaning with a minimal effort and at minimal cost?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I don't have the answer, but there is no way any financial records will be public domain. Same for the by-laws and dividends. I really doubt it if you can get anything except very general information.
