Finding a potato masher that doesn't break after a few uses was more the problem for me. Get a steel one. They are easy to find and enjoy a much better standard of living LOL.

Found a potato masher no problem but never found a Lancashire peeler. Had to wait over a year to get one when I returned to Lancashire. Now some barsteward has stolen it. Thieving Thais - I'm off.

Don't understand some people,  do what most of us do, marry one.   Also avoids the need for dishwashers and vacuum cleaners ????

Get a Thai GF, and teach her how to mash potatoes. Jeez, why are newbies so clueless?

Clueless?....... he should be deported for not having the brains to pack one on his last flight into Thailand........

US golf fans seem to be quite partial to mashed potatoes. If you find any that have broken cover since Sunday they may be able to assist.

But, keep a club's length away from them when you ask the question....

I managed to find one but it goes all bendy when near anything slightly warm so i assume it is designed for Thailand where food needs to stand for at least an hour before being touched.

Who is the clueless one? Where is it published that I would need to bring one with me? Get real.

I can just picture mum mashing spuds with a fork when we were kids...And no OP, it wasn't an electric fork...In fact the spuds were peeled with a knife...????

I fail to see the joke, this matter is too serious to treat in a jocular vein.

It’s always funny what the final straw can be.

If it’s not something catastrophic, girlfriend stealing all your money etc. I can get the fact that after years living in Thailand, a lack of a masher might just tip you over the edge!
