I think I owe a few thousand baht on my true wifi account from when I was living in thailand last year.  Is it possible to pay the bill abroad? I'm in the U.S.  Does anyone know what phone number to call?

I am planning on going back to thailand next year, if I can't clear the debt before i move would there be a problem when applying for a work visa?  I want to pay it off since its a small sum but have seen other posters say that true wifi doesn't accept foreign credit cards.

Thanks for the help

Also does anyone know if owing about $200 us dollars on my true wifi account will affect my application for a working visa?  I think that is what true wifi said the charge was for cancelation but I was never contacted by them so idk if I have even been charged or not.

THIS is what this is about really.... you are coming back here, and that is why you care about this..

What type of account is it? Is there some sort of contract? Has the account ever been closed? Do you have a current bill? Online access to your account? Is the account in your name?

Can you ask someone in Thailand to swing by a True Shop and pay your bill for you? Then reimburse them.

You can register for a True online account, no clue if it will link to your current "service" contract? It may.

I mean if you can't contact them and sort out payment just do this when you get back to Thailand.

Hey i had set up a 1 year contract i think for wifi.  But I moved like 3 months later and they were supposed to come and set up the wifi again at my new place but never did.  I contacted them several times for about 3 weeks and also went to the shop in town but nobody ever came to set the wifi up.  Nothing happened after that I just didn't bother trying to get service anymore.

I don't know what type of account is is or if it has been closed I just signed a 1 year contract to get wifi. The account is in my name.  I don't think I have an online account and they never contacted me as far as i know about a bill.  But when I had gone into the shop to try and get someone to come set up the wifi at my new place they told me the cancellation fee was 7000 baht.

Like glegolo said I wouldn't really care about this if I didn't think I would be coming back to Thailand.  I assume it wouldn't be a problem since they never contacted me about any bills but I'd rather make sure.

I reacted cause you made it look like a great personal moral thing to do, when in fact payment of this owe to you is because you are afraid of being stoped.

OK, now I'm really confused.

True WiFi is, I thought, fully pre-paid.

What needed to be "set-up"?

Maybe you had some sort of fixed broadband service, which also provided a WiFi router? Or did you have some sort of mobile data (3G/4G) service which also supported WiFi?

Do you have any details regarding the contract or the service? Did you keep any equipment? Did you cancel the service?

Again, you should be able to sort this out online, or by contacting True. Or just sort it out when you return.
