Do something about the dirty rats of Beach Road Pattaya!

Thai media has called on the authorities to do something about the infestation of rats on Beach Road in Pattaya.

We Love Pattaya reported that officials had been inspecting the area during the day but the critters came out at night.

A video showed tourists taking pictures of the rats and what appeared to be an angry local man showing his frustrations.

One woman was almost run down by an approaching car as she attempted some rodent photography.

Oh, real rats. I thought they were talking about some of the people...

  • Well you cant expect much else when garbage bags are left on the side walk with easy access for rats .

...especially none from the new motherland. There is a simple solution: invite Isan folks in a local tourism campaign for a hunting season and a huge BBQ.

The rats of Pattaya, a new tourist attraction TAT should promote it.

Never get rid of them when every thai that owns a shop puts food out on the floor as an offering or whatever.

Dirty rats? Well, how about installing some rat showers down there? Ought to be some good "consulting fees" in that idea...

Like the way they don't pick up those bags for two or three weeks in England nowadays? At least Thaialnd has a chance to improve whereas the UK is down down down............

Most cats will not tackle a rat unless it is a big old tom cat, cats are mousers, for rats you need terriers or other similar small fast dogs. Your standard soi dog is usually too slow.

There everywhere, outside the 7/11 on Soi Arunotai 4, the other night there was at least half a dozen scrambling about round the garbage bins.

Why don’t they replace the open top garbage bins with dumpsters with lids ?

You may jest, but many Thais actually eat these things.

Apparenntly, rats that are caught in the Paddies are OK to eat, but the Rats from the Cities and Dumps Etc carry diseases Etc and can make a person sick .

This must be true as my missus told me, and her Uncle travells many Kilos from Chonburi, to good hunting grounds further up North.

Thailand needs Jack Russel terriers.

This guy could do the business.

'Rats! They fought the dogs and killed the cats. Bit the babies in their cradles. Ate the soup from the cook's own ladles.' Time to call in the Pied Piper of Hamlyn. Be sure to pay him, or else.????

I saw the same thing outside KFC in Osaka. Nothing new.

My GSD has no problem killing them. The only downside is she brings the bodies to the door and leaves them as some sort of gift to us. ????????.

Dirty Rats-its not the BiB's fault the cop shop is on beach road- they are the biggest rodents in the place.
