Landfill

Featured Replies

Anyone know of the cost of one of those huge trucks full of landfill?

I need to level a plot of land and prep it for construction.

Thanks.

It is of course different price for different fill and the size of the truck.

A farang neighbour of mine has just brought 80no 10ton truckloads in at 1400bt a pop.

I couldnt resist asking him why he did it.

He said the locals said it advisable.

I said this plot is perfect, it has never flooded, you really didnt need to waste 100k baht before you started.

I should have added that when multiple loads are brought in they would normally supply a dozer to spread and compact within the same rate.

It's also worth getting a price from a contractor to "fill to 1.5m" rather than on a per-truck basis.

You will need a lot more loads than you imagine!

I am currently seeking quotes for landfill in Hang Dong area of Chiang Mai.  Does anyone have recent knowledge of the cost in that area?  Or, does anyone have contact information for someone who could give a quote for that service?

The red mud called ding daeng is approx 1200 bht a truck ,just had some land filled this week, however he decided to use something different from the red mud and it is sinking when I walk on it..lol...typical Thai ,,,he coming back to look at it saterday, the small grey gravel costs a lot more.

coincidently I am a stones throw from that area so my comment is vert relevant to you. I may even have the tel no of the company I referred to as the wife thought it was topsoil they were bringing in (as we need a couple of wagon loads) and she went to speak to the drivers. I will pm you with any info.

Thank you very much.  My stepson lives in CM and can follow up for the wife and I.
