So without wanting to rehash pages of comment and speculation. To the mods, do you actually have any idea when, if ever it's going to get fixed?

 

To paraphrase endless comments, this site has gradually got worse and worse, and this latest manifestation seems to be the worst.

 

'If' the current owners actually want the forums section to thrive, they certainly don't seem to be demonstrating that desire!

Yes ! we have recently been informed that a major change will happen soon on the server side of things. We will post when we know more.

Yup, I looked at the time 11.54, okay I have time to start a thread in general topics.
Unfortunately when I went to create it had surpassed 12.02 and I got stuck in a loop trying to create it .

The result: I made 6 copies of the same thread [emoji23]

Yup, I asked the mods to clean up my mess and I guess the thread you replied to was sacrificed !!

It's been going on for 3 or 4 weeks - so the owners of the website clearly don't care to spend money to correct the problem ☹️.

 

I'm sure the advertisers on the site aren't exactly happy either.

 

Presumably the advertisers aren't enough to make it profitable to the owners of the website?

Don't know what you are blathering on about. I use TVF on my crappy Oppo android phone and am having no issues, even with the rubbish 3G reception here (BB comes here the end of the months).

 

My only issue was being unable to post for 10 days but I rather suspect that was my fault.

Many times a day it takes 2-3 minutes to load a page so that drives me away from the computer which is a good thing, nice cool weather now and since the site works soo slow my garden looks better every day!

Try being a bit more controversial with your comments. 10 days holiday does wonders for the garden.

Well since the forum is soo slow i can proudly say that we have the best looking garden of the whole village...they even come here to watch it and make pictures. I even have a dove under the carport which won't leave at all, never....it's sitting there all days long to enjoy the view and even poops over the edge of the nest..

Oh yes.  I remember dial up, then the popup nuisances, and all that.  I had net zero as I moved around the country on different jobs and used local phone lines to connect.  Frustrating as computers and CPU are thousands of times faster than my old original PC and floppy disks, etc. but nothing takes less time!
