This is/was a listing of secondhand car values in the U.

Is there a similar thing in Thailand?

I'm trying to value an eight year old Nissan March for insurance purposes.

Thanks

There is a rather large magazine size listing of used cars that is published every week or two which would give you a good idea as there is very little difference in selling price between dealers.  It is in Thai but easy enough to understand with price/photos/sections on each vehicle.

I must admit have not read in many years but quite sure it is still the standard for used car listings.

Thanks for the link.

The insurance says the vehicle has to be insured for a min of 80% of market value.

Looking at your link 2010/11 's vary between 199,000 to 250,000. I will go for a value of 200,000 which is 80% of the top figure (the vehicle is high mileage  195,000kms and the basic version (no abs/airbag etc but auto) - my guess is that this car really has a value of less than 200,000 Baht so I think covering for that figure should be OK.

Thanks for your input.

Apart from the classified magazines with pictures from each dealers and personal ads, the 2nd hand dealers and showroom when trading in uses Red Book which would list car model for each year and conditions

also there's some banks which does their own like this blue book (link in Thai)

I just ask out of curiosity.

I don't get the title of this thread, Is "Glass Guide" a car value publication in a particular country" such as in the kelley blue book (KBB) or NADA in the US? If so which country?

When I decided to sell my Vigo Mrs.Trans mentioned it on FB and Line to friends. Two "dealers" sent here a message offering the same amount not seen...Sadly an amount under my thoughts...????
