Please help: JD Pools, Siam Pool or Desjoyaux?

Recommended Posts

Would love to hear from anyone in Chiang Mai, who have experience with the swimming pool construction companies JD Pools, Siam Pool, Desjoyaux. (or others I dont know of)

Please let me know any good or bad experiences with theses companies. You are most welcome to PM me, so no risk of the posts being removed, if it contains something bad.

Also.... is there anything I should consider in regards to the pool itself? Tiles or Fiber Glass, Overflow or not.. etc. Any help and experiences would be highly appreciated. Also regarding maintenance help from the companies.

Planning on getting a pool at home. approx 6 x 3 meters. Currently have around THB 700.000 to spend on it. Is this realistic for a quality pool or do I need to save more?

Thanks so much for anyone taking their time to help.

I will jump in!

Just a quick point that should help. Don't ever tell your pool contractor you have 700k to spend and if so then tell him you want an all singing and dancing version that's 5mx 7m

you want to be looking at spending somewhere between 360-540k for a pool that size (incl all pumps and paraphanalia)

with no disrespect to members here in CM it may be worth posting this in the housing diy forum. you will probably get better technical advice, plus those companies are probably nationwide.

Had a Desjoyeaux chlorine based pool for 12 years, hardly a problem.

Plastic liners, plastic covering. No ugly pipes or housings, all round easy maintainenc.

Highly recommended.

Desjoyeaux are the best around imho. My pool is still going strong after 14 years. If there is a problem they are there within the hour.

Only downside is probably that are the most expensive

I don't buy my chlorine from them or use their pool cleaning services. But they have kept my pump going well beyond it's expiry period

For 700.000 Baht I can get you a 12.5 x 4.8 m beautiful Fiberglas pool not a little 6x3 meter one! Ready to swim in in one week!

Had my 3x6 pool done by Siam pools. Salt water system with skimmer. Too small for overflow. Siam did a quality job at a cost well below your 700k budget.

I agree wholehartedly with the other posters about Siam Pools (John).

Did quality work at a reasonable price, plus it comes with a 10-year warrantee.
