Ever hear of Wolfgang's Vault tutsi?  Back in '02 a guy purchased a warehouse full of Bill Graham's memorabilia, including concert tapes from the Fillmore venues.  I remember listening to many of these concerts (not sure how many were never released prior to this) streamed on the Internet back around '06.  They would put a playlist together and you could tune in.  It was great.  I had forgotten all about it in the ensuing years.

 

Check it out . . . now just called Wolfgang's.  I just did and they have quite a few concert listings.  I'll have to spend some time there.

 

 

Used to be free but now $39 per year to listen to the concerts they have.  Phfftt!  I dunno . . . have to check into it more.  There's a download section but I'll be dam_ned sure it ain't free.

I remember the Wolfgang's Vault, Thousands of concerts in store if I remember right.

Great band, great vocals, great three part harmonies with Roger McGuinn on lead vocals. Gene Clark on middle, and David Crosby on high harmonies.

On musical and vocal ability, probably about the best band that ever was.

Well, Crosby was a part of this trio as well.  They certainly rivaled the Byrds for harmonies.  Off their '69 eponymous debut.

Here's a nice number off of the '67 release, Gene Clark With The Gosdin Brothers, Tried So Hard.  This was his solo debut after departing the Byrds in '66.

 

 

Here's another sweet/somber tune, You're Fire Burning, which was an unreleased demo that eventually appeared on Gypsy Angel - The Gene Clark Demos, released 10 years after his death.
