UEFA disgust me and this is another reason why their tin pot anthem will get booed even more.

They might have a new one by the time you hear it again ????

Looking possible that they will face a Premier League points deduction as well.

Maybe West Ham won't be relegated after all if City lose enough points. ????

they should deduct them from last season ????

Banned from all European competitions for the next 2 years and fined £24.9m

And what for Pep now, will he stay?

We are never going to win the CL anyway so no point in getting upset, 11 years since the new owners and never even got close, at least for the next 2 years we don't have to build our expectations up just to see the get knocked down at some stage.

The timing of the decision will no doubt please the La Liga guys????.......just before Citeh play RM. Makes you wonder?

It must have a massive effect on recruitment if the ban stands. Can't see the elite players wanting to move there (even if an appeal is outstanding). Adhering to future FFP will also mean you can't afford to splash out due to loss of CL income. Unfortunately for you guys it could well be that MU benefit most from the decision.

It will certainly be a culture shock for Pep....if he stays? Has he re-built a team before without splashing the cash?....You'd better hope the likes of Foden, Garcia and Doyle start fulfilling their potential or it will be a rocky few years ahead, especially as the PL are yet to make their own decision on guilt/punishment! Bear in mind that RFU have set a major precedent in English sport with the severity of the points penalty handed down to Saracens.

That will teach em to boo the CL anthem " what goes around comes around" strange as i always thought that the posters on here claimed that there was no wrong doing ????

initiated by UEFA, prosecuted by UEFA and judged by UEFA

And funnily enough, the result was known months ago, before the investigation had even started

Are you appealing the decision and risking a third year ban?

Did you not read the club statement I posted? It says what the next steps are

If Manchester City have won trophies by CHEATING the system then we must put an asterisk against their success and question how long Pep Guardiola will stick around

City's rivals will question if the club's success counts if they've bought titles

In the past City's wage bill was 300% of their revenue.... anyone with half a brain understands that is ridiculous, so they boosted their revenue with state owned companies who apparently paid extortionately high for sponsorship, stadium naming rights and advertising, ie. Etihad, Etisilat and Visit Abu Dhabi etc... They should have their league titles stripped.

La Liga in Spain appear to be overjoyed.

And in other news, Barca want to sign another striker because Suarez and Dembele are injured. Yes, the transfer window is shut but La Liga rules may allow them to buy. It must be someone from La Liga so City fans don't have worry about Aguero or Sterling jumping ship .... yet.

The Spanish. They are the biggest financial doping cheats in football and get away with it all the time

But nobody died and we haven''t had the whole of English football kicked out ot he competition for 5 years.

Let's put this into perspective. Our "crime" in the eyes of UEFA is about £60m and how it was reported. City maintain no wrong doing and will appeal but come on, £60m is peanuts in football terms, it's not even a complete VvD, it's a one armed VvD. Liverpool owe FSG about  £100m don't they. When you look at the football clubs with the biggest deb't across europe it's eye watering. Wasn't that what FFP was supposed to be about? Not letting clubs get into huge deb't. We have no deb't at all

FFP was ALWAYS about not letting any new clubs to dine at the top table, nothing to do with Fair Play

Let's see who's got the best #ValentinesDay rhymes

Roses are red,

Manchester is blue,

__________

__________

Feel free to complete the rhyme lads.....Hoping MrBJ will award a prize to the best????

See you next season

When you're down in League 2.

Seriously, some "experts" are saying that City will be punished the same way as Rangers were in Scotland. Start again from the bottom.

At the end of the day the rules have been broken in every way by Citeh and we all knew the council chavs had done it.

The days of buying a club as a plaything and buying the galacticos is coming to an end....and this cannot be a bad thing.....what is needed next is a cap on insane wages and agent fees and prices paid by fans.

Especially the latter....that would safeguard football's future.

Meanwhile a 100 pts fine please FA hehehehe.

So do ya appeal or not since you seem to know ya broke the rules?

We all know what the steps are....but those are for the innocent isn't it?

Paying your players 300k a week when we can offer a third of that is cheating.....if you can't see that its Blue Moon day.

Come on Bredbury out from under your rock lad...dry your tears and battle on....relegation beckons hahaha.

Leetle City.

Sorry Ronnie, day off so slept till noon and woke to the surprise news.

The surprise is:

it's 2 years not 1 year, and,

it wasn't announced the night before we play Madrid as we expected would happen.

So City will appeal as expected (part of the reason they already went to CAS - a move a bit like claiming a club dives pre-game in order to influence the ref), so this is now a longrunner as the club believe:

1. They weren't guilty back the first time in 2014 when they were penalised - but chose to take the minor penalty (suspended fine and squad reduction) on the chin and move on,

2. They don't believe that they are guilty this time round.

I would expect City now to also challenge the legality of FFP in CAS and possibly the European courts.

Bold statement that Ronnie.

I'd like to know more. Could you please expand on the "in every way". How long is that list of us breaking rules?
