Here bud. Busy at the moment getting ready for retirement and the big move. Lot's of stuff to sort out and the current hoops for travelling add to the headache. I'll happily stay here 3 days longer than I have to if it means the quarantine has been reduced. Waiting for the official confirmation of go/no go is annoying though.

Welcome to the ranks of the bone idle loafers. After 5 years I still miss getting up at 5 in the morning to go to work ... but not too much that I would go back to it.

I won't miss getting up at 5am, as I never got up at 5am. Not for work at least ????

Best of luck with the move and retirement, MrB. I quit working six years ago and NO regrets.????

An easy win in Budapest. Didn't get out of second gear in the second half of the game.

2 early, well worked goals effectively meant the tie was over. After that, it was a matter of training ground football. Loving it at the moment

I thought it was a cracking performance, everybody played well and i really enjoyed it.

Reckon that is our best 11 (pick 2 from Walker, Cancelo and Zinchencko). Playing a false 9 with an extra midfielder seems to be really effective for us and the interchanging between the front 6 plus a fullback must be difficult to play against. Particularly like having the work rate and guile of Bernardo and Foden in the team.

Just watching the filthabout Barry Bennell...a bad time in history....why were there so many scum in one generation?

Plenty now too though I hear....just the clubs have safeguarding in place for their youth squads....sickening.

Saw this t'other day. It's a table of PL games since the June 2020 restart (following the 3 month lockdown suspension from March 2020) and equates to a season's worth of games since the restart.

Liverpool won last season's PL with 7 games still to play, so it gives an interesting guide to Liverpool's form post winning the title (I.e. almost all 38 games tabled are post-restart)..and ain't good, showing the huge drop off in form once crowned champions. Yes I know Liverpool cite the huge influence of no Anfield crowds, but Liverpool were top of the PL this season until the end of December 2020 (round 16/38) without crowds. No offence intended to Kadilo, but Liverpool - the PL champions, bigger wealthier club - should not be just 2 points above WHU over a season's worth of games.

Aguero on his way out. The end of an era. Will City look for a Pep type #9, assuming Pep wants a #9? Or continue scoring goals by midfield committee? And Jesus? And Messi now that his buddy is saying goodbye? Should be interesting.

Was hoping he'd have another year but if it doesn't suit all parties then best to not stay. What a servant he's been. Apparently there is a statue being commissioned to alongside a David Silva one.  He'll be missed but hopefully we can carry on stronger like we have without SIlva

Got to be Haaland hasn't it?

Mbappe is just too much of a circus.

It's just mind blowing figures for both of them. Contrary to belief, we haven't yet busted a transfer record for any player and it would surprise me if we did this time.

The perfect replacement is Messi. Pep has never been fond of traditional #9s and Messi is the quintessential false 9.

Well they don't have the highest avg attendance or the biggest capacity so don't know why they should miss crowds more than anyone else. Even our avg attendance is bigger ????

And we don't hear ManU fans moaning about missing the effect of the Stretford End. It's embarrassing from Liverpool fans.

Well, I hope City can close this out. They are <deleted> up way too many good chances.

Nope. There's Dortmund's all important away goal. <deleted> hell.

2-1 City at the end. Nice to see Foden with that goal as he had struggled much of the game. That one goal by Dortmund put me in a bad mood...but improving now.

That Bellingham is a handful.

Is Foden that tiny or is Haaland a giant.

Anyway! He is saying; "Be with you next season".

Either that or, "I could break you like a peanut".

The ever annoying Ian Darke and Jenas said it was a good game but I didn't enjoy it; too close, too nervy.

1st half thought Dortmund were the more settled team and we were fortunate to be 1v0 up. Ref was a clown: penalty wrongly given to Rodri and Can wrongly booked, Bellingham's goal disallowed (looked a goal to me) and he was wrongly booked, etc.

2nd half we were better (we usually are for some reason). Nobody was playing that great and we seemed stuck in 2nd gear but we got better - Jesus coming on as no.9 caused it? Foden started to be brilliant but wasteful. Wasn't surprised when they scored (great goal) and I didn't see us getting a 2nd so I'm happy to be wrong - Foden doesn't give up.

Dortmund were far better than we imagined but I thought it was an average City performance. All to play for still going in to the 2nd leg against a very decent opponent.

Once again we won when it looked unlikely and I love that about this team/squad.

We got off a bit there but also unlucky at times. Was not happy with Rodri feigning a kick in the head. That's not how our players should act. We'll leave that stuff to Salah and Fernandez (insert any United player)

Yes the away goal was a bummer but we are more than capable of scoring away as well. Thought it was a strange starting 11 from Pep but I think I've got used to not second guessing his picks.

That was my first late night game of retirement in Thailand. Still in quarantine until saturday morning, so opted for a couple of hours sleep before the game. No sports package in the hotel, so watched it on the laptop. Not too bad

Pep said a couple of months ago that he's changed strategy and told the players not to run too much and conserve energy. It doesn't look at intense as we used to look
