ManU playing well and cutting our slow defence apart on the break with pace. Not much going right for us. Can see ManU scoring another as we chase the game. City spoiling my weekend again.

We seem to be playing the same game week in week out; we have possession, can't break down the defending team, they pick us off on the break.

 

So we can concentrate now on chasing down...Leicester for 2nd.

Never seen City play any other way under Pep, it's his trade

mark. 

Works ok against most teams but not against teams

that can defend and have a pacy counter.

Teams have always defended deep against us, particularly at the Etihad, the difference this season to the past 2 seasons is:

- We're now struggling to get round the back of them which usually creates lots of our goals. Definitely missing Sane, makes us have to play Sterling leftside where he's not as effective, that means we're weaker left and right side this season, and it doesnt help that Bernardo is having an average season whereas he was our player of the season last season.

 

Certainly making for an interesting season.

Observations on your post:

1. ALL clubs and all walks of society have such idiots - and no doubt ManU do also - so don't make such a big deal out of it.

2. And yes the idiots who gave Fred grief are...idiots, possibly racist idiots or possibly they just got carried away with the events and are idiots.
3. Says a lot about you that you've come straight to the City thread to post and have not posted on the ManU thread.
4. Says a lot about you that you've posted about a minor incident and not the game itself.

In fairness to Pep he's ALWAYS said we're not good enough to win the CL (whether he believed that or not is another matter).

I would agree that currently City are not as good as other European teams or Liverpool in the PL. We have a battle on our hands to fix the problems we have right now and get back to winning ways.

I thought it was pretty even until your goals, with City having most the ball but struggling to stop ManU pace on the break - it wasn't a surprise you went ahead but i didn't expect it to be by a penalty. Second half i thought we were better; we had chances and there were so many blocks, on another day they'd go in. MOM Wan-Bissaka (spelling?) who was like a mobile wall.

 

I wouldn't get too upset by Pep, all top managers they don't give too much away do they. Dyche the other day vs us was totally honest which was great to hear.

The 'Racist' lark caught my eye this weekend too but the bar will have to be set pretty low when it comes to defining monkey chants against perfectly acceptable rival gestures.

(I'm a MU fan & didn't see anything I'd consider racist in any of the footage that went out on MotD)

Look... I count myself as one of the people who is glad to leave the PC brigade in the UK behind. But get serious mate... anyone can see what that guy was doing, and the noise which came out of his mouth.
