Plus he looks like a cartoon character with those razor-sharp cheekbones and wicked eyebrows. Seriously, was very impressed that he did his postmatch interview in english considering when he arrived he could say nothing except for "good morning". 1

RickG16 Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Have a good one @mrbojangles ... take some photos!
Bredbury Blue Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 ManU playing well and cutting our slow defence apart on the break with pace. Not much going right for us. Can see ManU scoring another as we chase the game. City spoiling my weekend again.
Bredbury Blue Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Fair play to manU, did really well. We seem to be playing the same game week in week out; we have possession, can't break down the defending team, they pick us off on the break. So we can concentrate now on chasing down...Leicester for 2nd.

Never seen City play any other way under Pep, it's his trade mark. Works ok against most teams but not against teams that can defend and have a pacy counter.
balo Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 City look like a different side than last season. Good job by Ole, even Pep was impressed.

Teams have always defended deep against us, particularly at the Etihad, the difference this season to the past 2 seasons is: - We're now struggling to get round the back of them which usually creates lots of our goals. Definitely missing Sane, makes us have to play Sterling leftside where he's not as effective, that means we're weaker left and right side this season, and it doesnt help that Bernardo is having an average season whereas he was our player of the season last season. Certainly making for an interesting season.

Too many obstacles to overcome this season, not the least of which seems to be the bloom off the rose a bit. As I've said before the squad looks a little jaded at times and not as hungry as the past two seasons. Add in the loss of captain Vinnie and the injuries. Not to mention the lack of adequate depth defensively. Still this.
RickG16 Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Let's talk about the real story. I counted 3 lighters and a bottle near the corner flag. Then there is another missile which hits Fred. Only seen that kind of idiocy before at Elland Road, and we know what kind of neanderthals they are. However bad it's got during post Fergie era, our supporters have never stooped that low. And that's all aside from the racist <deleted>. Classless small time <deleted>. 1 1

ALL clubs and all walks of society have such idiots - and no doubt ManU do also - so don't make such a big deal out of it. 2. And yes the idiots who gave Fred grief are...idiots, possibly racist idiots or possibly they just got carried away with the events and are idiots. 3. Says a lot about you that you've come straight to the City thread to post and have not posted on the ManU thread. 4. Says a lot about you that you've posted about a minor incident and not the game itself. 5. And no am not and I will not be defending idiots who cause such grief to my club, and to the likes of Fred and all the other non-Caucasian players. 2
RickG16 Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 I'm not finished... this was all compounded by your classless manager who refused to admit we had been the better side.

In fairness to Pep he's ALWAYS said we're not good enough to win the CL (whether he believed that or not is another matter). I would agree that currently City are not as good as other European teams or Liverpool in the PL. We have a battle on our hands to fix the problems we have right now and get back to winning ways.

Second half i thought we were better; we had chances and there were so many blocks, on another day they'd go in. MOM Wan-Bissaka (spelling?) who was like a mobile wall. I wouldn't get too upset by Pep, all top managers they don't give too much away do they. Dyche the other day vs us was totally honest which was great to hear. 1

The 'Racist' lark caught my eye this weekend too but the bar will have to be set pretty low when it comes to defining monkey chants against perfectly acceptable rival gestures. (I'm a MU fan & didn't see anything I'd consider racist in any of the footage that went out on MotD)

But get serious mate... anyone can see what that guy was doing, and the noise which came out of his mouth. The life changing nature of what happened should be more than enough punishment for him. This isn't about an individual, and it's not just about racism. It's about moronic fans who were being completely out of order. What do they have in common? They support jumped up Citeh. No class. They've only just discovered how to win, so of course they don't know how to handle it when you lose what you've won.
