So...we play Bournemouth at 12:30 UK on Saturday 7th March. FA Cup 5th round scheduled for 7:45 on Thursday 5th. Less than 41 hours between games so looks like a lot of the kids will get another outing.

Impressive.

Guardiola is the only manager in Premier League history to have won the award in four successive months.

Klopp is the first manager to win the award five times in a season.

Timo Werner to LFC in the summer? Rumours from Germany  have increased over last few days. Can play anywhere across front three and is very pacy. Only problem iirc is that he has a problem in loud stadiums! so he won't like Anfield....... He may prefer City or Arsenal if he has a choice.????

He doesn't have to play in the Olympics though does he, isn't that voluntary?

Is right mate.....but has already been selected as an overage player and will be put under enormous pressure both political and from Egyptian fans to comply. Problems of being the Nation's poster boy!

Like a gold digging wife, never enough and the World (Salah) always owes them something.

Logic would say they need him rested for the African Nations, a cup they could actually win, rather than one that has no real significance in football history and they have no chance of winning.

Keita replaces Fabinho is only change. Mane on bench. Game still on but atrocious conditions at the moment. High winds and heavy rain. Hope it dies down a bit before kick off.

Rumours that Werner will be sorted by April deadline still gathering pace.

Where was Minamino?

Not selected mate Shows the strength of the squad when nearly everyone is fit. Must have <deleted> off half of Japan who stayed up for the game????

Mane made that goal look half easy when it was anything but.:cowboy:

You havent seen him mimic Firmino's kung <deleted> goal celebration?  a mirror image of that take-down????

Damn right mate......the two of them have nearly taken each other's head off on more than one occasion????

Baldy <deleted> faced referee there, pandering to every dive and moan by that shiiite.

The same old story with that dirty Simeone. Everyone dive and try and get players booked. So obviously trying to get Mane sent off. Cheat to win.

We will <deleted> them at Anfield, <deleted> bags!

Two things you must avoid when playing a Simeone side....a soft ref and an early goal against you!

Unfortunately, we didn't!????

Although we controlled most of the game, our final ball and particularly use of free kicks/corners was for once very poor and, allied to AM being at their conniving best, meant we never looked like getting a result. Having to sub Mane to avoid a red card due to his markers diving/histrionics just showed what we were up against. Personally, I'd have given Keita a run 2nd half to change things...his direct running might have upset their defensive rhythm as it was clear that they feared Mane runs and targeted him accordingly.

No one had a bad game but with the possible exception of Gomez, no one had a good one either! Anyway, hoping for another Anfield glory night (and a stricter ref) in three weeks. As is the norm in this comp, we like to make things difficult for ourselves.

Finally, on the subject of Simeone....he would do a good job in the PL I think. But only for those who prefer substance over style!????
