WETV shutdown - company apologizes for "temporary interruption"

Cable TV customers of the WETV company in Chiang Mai have been informed that their service will be off air temporarily.

In a letter to subscribers World Entertainment Television Co Ltd said that their offices were raided by officials from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission backed by the military and police.

The company said that their business was targeted along with 44 other operators nationwide.

They explained that the shutdown was related to WETV's relationship with the now defunct cable operator CTH and the payment of fees.

WETV said they had applied to the court in Chiang Mai to continue with their service but it would be unavailable in the meantime as legal issues needed to be resolved.

They gave no indication when the service would return and apologized for the interruption.

They said their internet and CCTV service was unaffected by the dispute.

I suspect it might be more about TRUE complaining

as they must have lost a lot of subscribers to Netflix

Iflix,and Bein sports.

So will WETV privide a Refund to those who pay in advance for a service that is pretty poor  anyway ?
