Driver Suchin Suphapyat, 75, said sheepishly that he was trying to do his passenger a favor

He could do all passengers a favour, at his age, and with bad 'mince pies', by packing in being a taxi driver !

But he admitted that he had never been to this specific area and has a problem with judging distances.

So, how did he pass the depth perception part of the eye test for his driving licence?

It is worrying that there are people  on the roads that are not fit to drive but it is downright scary when that person is a taxi driver.

Driving licence? No depth perception test needed for a 5,000THB licence...

I think that up until about 15 years ago, a driving licence was for life....he's not dead yet.

I am very impressed he admitted a problem with depth perception and didn't use the tried and true brake failure to explain the accident.
