cheapest way to call a land line in uk with a one to call mobile

Featured Replies

The cheapest means of calling the UK is via Skype - Install the app and buy some credit. My last call lasted 13minutes and cost less than £0.25

one 2 call/ AIS 00500 44 then your number. 7 baht/min i think. look on there web page for details.

Using the LINE app and LINE OUT for calls is a bit cheaper than Skype even. Quality better too IMHO.

True Move Sim is the best to UK landlines at 1 baht a minute plus vat. No Phaffing around with Skype Line Messenger just a straight forward phone call

And how do you do that?

Even with their "006" prefix they show rates of 5 Baht/min for fixed lined and 7 Baht/min for mobile.

Can't find rates for "00600" advertised to be cheaper.

For that you need a Tourist SIM;

http://truemoveh.truecorp.co.th/international_service/visit_thailand/en

Other SIM charge a bit more if I remember correctly.

Our Indian friends can pay as little as
0.6 baht + VAT; http://truemoveh.truecorp.co.th/assets/layouts/truemoveh/pdf/Terms_and_Conditions_India_00600_en.pdf using an everyday SIM.

If you have a Smartphone, try; https://www.localphone.com

Landlines All Landlines 0.4p
Mobiles All Networks 1.5p
Toll Free All Toll Free Numbers Free!

You can use their App to call via WiFi/3G/4G at the above prices. So the cheapest of all.

Even 1 baht is 2.5p, so it's six times less expensive than calling via a Truemove H Inter SIM via 00600... and completely free if calling a Freephone number.

£0.017p/min to a uk landline on skype

for mobiles use the AIS prefix 003 and it's something like 1 bt for first minute then 25 setang/min after that

for others i use any number of internet apps to call free.

Rates for Truemove Tourist SIM using "00600" prefix showed 1 baht/min to call UK fixed line.

Sorry, but you are just making it up.

AIS 003 is not 1 baht per minute. Not ever. The rate is 5 baht for landlines and 7 baht for mobiles, plus VAT.

Skype, at 1.7p per minute, is still four times the cost of Localphone. Plus Skype has a connection charge of 3.7p. So no competition to Localphone whatsoever.

No disagreement.. Yours is a Tourist SIM, so qualifies for the 1 baht + VAT.

Though Localphone is the cheapest, if the OP needs the cheapest. 0.5p inclusive of VAT against Truemove H's Tourist SIM tariff of 2.65p per minute inclusive.

Am using AIS and then Google Hangouts. For that, I bought $ 10 credit. Any issues and a quick and simpole refund of the unused portion can be had.

$ 0.01 a minute to UK landlines... Am loving it.

And I recommend AIS' Marathon prepaid SIM. I paid 600 THB for 6 months and use it as a hotspot.

It's actually 1.2p for UK customers, so still a fair bit more than Localphone(even though we are writing about relatively small amounts overall).

Calling to mobile rates are good. No toll-free calling..

Can still apply the package, sans calls, to an old SIM.

You're right, managed to renew mine using the MyAIS app on my smartphone.
