the lady at desk pointed to comm brush/winding area but i dont think she is a technician though she likely has experience with many motors being received and fixed.

it will be ready next thursday.  800 baht and i left a 100 baht deposit.

i will take the grinder with me thursday and install motor and test with coffee beans just to make sure repair is ok.  correct rpm and torque.

It will work. They simply rewind or repair with the same size wire and same number of turns.

new motor 1200 baht italy plus shipping

In India teenage boys used to do that by the roadside for generators on Ambassador cars. Ask me how I know (ret.)

Don't forget a picture of your nice "new" shinny armature.

I agreed with Crossy with ban mo area, and the exact location is -near- ban mo street, along the canal.

From city: first you get old siam place, then ban mo, then the canal and there you will see a couple street vendors spinning new armatures for fans.

They working on day and start clearing around 16.00.

Check the maps, usefull for offline use  ????

Orange square = map with green circle

green circle = where they fix the ac motors.

They are far more experienced then me, back then when I was in technical school the motor that I made consist a big nail, two smaller nails with big heads , wood, and a length of copper wire.

ban mau is a great place. outdoor stuff and the airconditioned indoor mall. after amorn shop at fortune mall told me they could not fix my expensive computer woofer/amp and satellite speakers i troubleshot it myself. all it was was the combined power/volume switch. soldered a new one in and like new again.  amorn at dee old siam repair is much better.

It is Friday. Is it repaired yet?

sabai sabai. why u think too much??

was not ready at 1 week mark/last thursday.  lady told me monday ready.  i call them today/tuesday and no, not ready.

i bought new coffeee beans at last weeks impact coffee fest but without motor cannot grind

using tea picked up  in sri lanka(ceylon)

seems they tell you something/anything to appease you so you will leave motor and deposit.

But never leave a large deposit otherwise they already have the profit and are just doing the grunt work at cost.

finally with some caveats.

# semi lethargic obese gal that brought me motor at first refused to test it to show me it functions correctly.  then i told her about repair delay, and paying 800 baht and the customer has the right to test before leaving.  then she agreed (speaking thai helps a lot to motivate them beyond standard laziness.   works and has uniform speed.

# i had to ask for receipt with the purported 2 month warranty.
