After all the discussions about retirement visa extensions, new rules, problems etc, I went to Korat immigration today. What a pleasant surprise. English speaking helpers to help you fill the forms out. Followed by an I/O who was quick, efficient, helpful and very pleasant. 

I have been going to Korat for many years and as they have changed staff the service has gone up and down....sorry but I have to say this, but there were no male I/Os and what a difference this makes. It seems that the ladies see their role as being helpful and not obstructionist. The 90 days reporting is great as well. Well done Korat.

good to know, but a couple questions:

 

does korat support online 90-day reporting?

when is a tm-30 required, and can you self-report?

OP to help others you need more details. So you obtained a new 12 month permission of stay.

Based on what? Marriage, retirement etc. What did imm want to see. What did you provide. What method? Money in bank? Income method. etc etc. Does your embassy still provide "income letter"/ ....hells bells

So you just went for 90 day report in the bush? Excellent!

Utterly useless. NO details. People are waiting for details because of changes in immigration laws and here comes a post with English speaking helpers.

I also had a good result today in Phuket using the stat dec i obtained in December.  This was a renewal of my retirement visa so good for another year.... :)
