March 25, 20196 yr Next Saturday i will move to another province. Currently i have True Online, which i want to cancel because i will get AIS or 3BB. Today i visited a True shop and asked about how i can cancel my contract. They told me i can cancel my contract every day because it's older than a year, so far so good. So i told them that i want it to end on Friday and asked what i should do with the router. They said that i have to come again on Friday to cancel it then, i can not tell them today to have it end on Friday, and that they will notify a technician then who will pick up my router. I said that i move out of the house on Saturday morning, and how this should work with a technician picking up the router. They said the technician will come when he is free, depends on the queue. So i asked them if they are going to pick it up in Chiang Mai, because this is where i will move to (currently in Udon). Just stares, no answer. So i asked them if i can return the router at the shop, when i cancel my contract on Friday. No, not possible. Sending it via post is also not possible. This seemed quite strange to me, so i called the True hotline, which basically told me the same. I have to go to the shop at the day at which i want my contract to end, and a technician will pick up the hardware a few days later. Giving it to the shop or sending it by post is not possible. Why is a big Thai company unable to handle an every day situation? Has anybody ever been in this situation and what did you do? After this experience i don't want to have a True contract again anyway, so i was thinking if i either just drop the router off at their shop and tell them to keep it, if they want it or not, or i might take it to Chiang Mai and tell them to pick it up there if they want it.
