thank you for taking the time to post this, i've been wondering what are the differences between the building regulations in Thailand to those in the UK, this is very much appreciated

Can anyone tell me the Thai name for a vibrating poker as it's called here in Ireland, also where's the best place to hire/buy one please, I'm based just north of Udon Thani, thanks guys, great thread.

if you mean a concrete vibrator, like this : https://www.dohome.co.th/towa-late-cameo-bridge-35x15-mm-10203562.html then Dohome call them สายจี้สะพาน ( saai jii saphaan ?) and สายจี้ปูน (saai jii puun ) .....I would go with the latter unless anybody has a better answer. But all you have to do is find a picture of one, save it on your phone and ask "mii mai " (do you have ?) as you show it to the staff.

You can buy them in Thai watsadu, global house, Dohome etc.

Just asked a contractor to fix a low beam to create more stairway headroom.

 

He said it's made of "faa" instead of "bun" and that he can take 3 cm off it.

 

What's "faa" (falling tone) and what's "bun/boon"? Can't find the words in Thai dictionaries.
