Water Quality

Featured Replies

Lost a 6 month old dental filling the other day and was a bit annoyed about it.

My friend was telling me that this is common here (prachuap khiri khan city) and to never wash your tooth with  tap water. Cause it sux.

FTR I’m only on a 30 days visa exempt holiday and can’t imagine that this was the real reason. More likely that my dentist back home messed up.

But then I had another event that raised the same question. Had my first motorbike crash in 13 Trips in Thailand.

The Phetkasem highway was soiled with heavy oil over a length from > 1 km and I slipped together with 1 motorbike in front of me and one behind me.

Dozens had the same fate that day as the road was not secured and no sand was dispersed. Anyway, luckily I only had a nice road burn but nothing serious.

So I went to the doc and he told me to stay away from the water.

I said “you mean the sea water for the period until the gall dries up?”

he said “no, especially the tap water “

I asked if anything was wrong with it here? He just said “its best to avoid it”.

Thoughts?

The water is crap but I brush my teeth with it. I'm in Hua Hin so a little north of you.

True, the water is increasingly cloudy, and sometimes slightly beige.
I gave up going to the water dispensers because I shared the space between the ants and the dust.
A lack of obvious hygiene.
I only buy packs and it's very good.
Saving candlelight is not worth it.
