Featured Replies

When looking west it looks very dark.

Time to turn on all aircons to cool down the house before the powercut happens ????

I guess it depends where you are, for me it is dark to the SE !

On the weather satellite it says storm over Lamphun/Lampang.

And the power here in my mooban is gone, just got it slightly cooled down

What ? No! I just started cooking my chicken.

Luckily I bought one of these the other day for making 'authentic' cheese on toast, seeing as I don't have a grill. storm.jpg.2d38fdd3733a3c9f364fb72e97c33cf8.jpg

Might come in handy in these situations.

Getting seriously windy here in North west Chiang Mai (Chiang Phueak) . No rain yet though and looking at the sky I think it's going to pass us by.

On my morning cycle ride, Doi Suthep looked the crispest I've seen it in a month.

Very windy in Nong Hoi, a few lightning flashes.

My village power was down, a lot  of strong wind but little rain.

I was expecting a heavy storm but it didn't come.

When can we expect rainy season to start?

With all the power cuts people seem to experience, I'm surprised that they don't have small back-up gas cookers. They cost less than 500 Baht for the ones that use the little canisters, and cook very well, each canister lasting 1-2+  hours of cooking time.

Over here in rural Khampaeng Phet we cook on gas. I also have 6 rechargeable lights which are recharged the next day.

It is nice to see how charcoaled dinner is when you cook it.

My backup lights cost between 375 and 400 baht.

You get a bit of wind or rain and the electric goes off,and the rainy season

has not started yet, maybe the money that has been spent on Submarines,

Planes and tanks, would have been better spent on getting the basics right,

like reliable electric and water supply........but we know why.

According to your post from last year, in a month.

I can't remember as the link was removed.

It seems to be June? We need some cooling weather.
