Win10 User account, login wi/o password?

Featured Replies

How can I set up a new user account in Win10, letting me log in without having to put in the account password or pin number.

Can't work this out.

Thanks

I'll try this, thank you.

It won't be the Administrator account, but another account.

I'm not sure whether to make one for a family member or not - regarding enabling this.

Thanks

Have you tried leaving the password completely blank when setting the new account up?

Uncheck the box about users having to use a password to use this computer

Click OK, you will be prompted to enter the Admin password.

Be careful using this option, it renders the computer completely open for anyone to use.

Thank you

But I only want one User account to be password free to access it, the main Administrative User account to retain a password.

Is this possible.

Thank you

As I said above, it should be possible if you just leave the passwords blank when you add the account.

Alternatively, to remove a password from an account, go to change it but leave the new password blank after entering the current password.

You could also do it through the command prompt using the net user commands. I can't find a link using my phone but you can google it.
