Bomb Blast in Pattani Injures Four Officers, EOD Investigates
More than a decade ago: "Coup needed for Thailand 'to love and be at peace again - army chief," May 23, 2014, The Guardian. How's that working out through now almost two decades of failed negotiations with the Malay Muslim insurrection? -

Trump’s mad, mad, mad, mad world—now with extra madness
Let me just take that apart and correct you where necessary. I asked you when she was evacuated? She needed treatment for a long time and if she was evacuated, it was relatively recently. The photo below is I believe, from last October. She was constantly denied permission to leave and seek treatment abroad. She was also, like many other Gazan's denied medicines. I do not, if you took the time to read my posts, take any side. Your babyish name calling only makes you appear ridiculous. I lie, I do take sides, I take the side of all innocent people - be they Israeli of Palestinian. What Hamas did on 7 October was horrendous, they are murdering scum. Most of the people they kidnapped or murdered were innocent members of the Israeli pubic - some were even peace activists. Israel's reaction to October 7th has been massively over the top and has resulted in the killing of over 40,000 people - some estimates say 50,000. Gaza has been turned into rubble. However, rather than achieve their aims, the Israeli's have created thousands of new recruits for the terrorist group - US intelligence's reports, not my claims. What right has either side go to bring the public into the matter? The hostage children of Israel are innocent but no more innocent than the Palestinian children in Gaza. My side? I'm on the side of the innocents. So please grow up and accept the truth. Israel could have avoided this entire situation if they stopped their land grabs and hideous treatment of many Palestinians - items also reported on by brave Israeli citizens. There was and is, no need to destroy Gaza to achieve Israel's aims. On the other hand, some Palestinian groups need to accept that, justified or not - Israel exists and is there to stay. Terrorist activity is very unlikely to achieve their aims. In don't support the terror groups methodology but I understand why they act as they do - they are fighting a very powerful enemy. How would you do that? Both sides must recognise that the other exists. The world, in the form of the UN, thrust this upon the Middle East as a form of settlement for the Jews following WW2 - a plan originally constructed by the UK. The only solution to the situation, that has gone on far too long - several generations knowing nothing but conflict - is for the world to impose peace on both sides forcefully - and police the situation until its settled, dealing with disenters as they go. Iran needs dealing with, it is mainly them that spread ridiculous Islamist ideologies and fund the terrorist groups. You won't agree with a word of that last paragraph but ask yourself this - are the Palestinians going to stop this on their own? Will Israel? The world needs to deal with the monster it created. More than anything at the moment - Trump needs to keep his mouth shut. Look at the photo (if you can) and tell me this little girl has any blame for October 7th. -

Fast Track arrival recommendations
A quick Google search throws up a heap of outfits offering fast track immigration baggage and customs services. Reviews are mixed and some are obviously false. So, looking for personal recommendations for a company that deliver the advertised service. Arriving at the end of February at approximately 8.30 pm if that makes any difference. Thanks 🙏 -

Pattaya Police Raid Villa, Arrest 12 Chinese Nationals Running Cross-Border Loan Sharking Op
Pictures from raid. Thai authorities have arrested 12 Chinese nationals in Pattaya for operating an illegal cross-border online loan business. The group, which had been running its operation from a pool villa, was caught in a raid led by senior police officers from Chonburi province. The operation was conducted under a search warrant issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court. More than 20 officers, including tourist police and immigration officials, searched a lavish villa spanning over one rai in Nong Pla Lai, Bang Lamung district. The property comprised a large two-storey house and two smaller buildings. During the raid, police arrested 11 men and one woman, all Chinese nationals. Officers seized 10 computers, 61 mobile phones, passports, electronic banking cards, and a sum of cash. A search of the computers revealed an active online loan business with a large turnover. One of the suspects, speaking through a translator, admitted that they had been renting the villa for 150,000 baht per month since August 2024. Their scheme involved offering high-interest loans via the WeChat application to customers in China, with loan amounts ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 yuan (approximately 10,000–15,000 baht). The group charged an exorbitant interest rate of 30%. Employees reportedly earned monthly salaries between 15,000 and 20,000 baht, plus commissions. Before relocating to Thailand, the group had operated in Dubai for five years but moved due to the high cost of living. Police Colonel Chatree Suksiri, Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police, stated that most of the suspects had entered Thailand on tourist and student visas. Two individuals were found to have overstayed their visas. They now face charges of working illegally in Thailand, with further investigations ongoing to uncover additional offences and identify the leaders behind this transnational fraud scheme. -- 2025-02-08 -
