Furniture rejuvenation?  Too heavy a load, perhaps?  And what exactly is an honest day's pay?  They will paint the same spot over and over if not babysat.. paid by the job, and it will be sloppy.

I'm not sure whether your post is mocking me or complaining about Thai work ethics, furniture rejuvenation meaning to apply new coat of paint/varnish on existing furniture to give them a fresh look, honest day's pay means to charge the correct and right amount for the job, not too little and not too much as many local tradies are know to do where they start to work, realise it takes them longer to finish and don't come back, or charge so much that defies logic where they get theses numbers from...

Not mocking you.  Refinishing solid wood furniture is a lot different than painting concrete condo walls.  Paint fumes are bad enough, but varnish or polyacrylics are downright dangerous.
