5 inch flexible intake pipe for pump.

Featured Replies

I am looking for a flexible 5" intake pipe. I can find 4 inches, but 5 would be better because it is for a dredge. I have the motor to match and the more material through the better.

If you wondering if I am gold mining, no. We just want to dredge up the sand we got on our place and sell it. The local sandpits are running out, and we got lots.

Everybody here gets sand from the river in boonkies (hand baskets), which is a lot of work for very little reward. A dredge should get a week's worth of work done in an afternoon. Plus it sounds like a fun thing to try.

Search suction hose Thailand. BKK will be distributing.

I can buy from Hardware House Co in Chonburi

Thanks, looks promising.

6" would even be better, just ask you wife and she will confirm.

On  more serious note, that or where will you get a hard metal or rubber lined solids handling pump or a solids handling eductor unit?

Water pumps not sand pumps.

I intend to make a venturi style dredge, water is passed into another chamber creating suction. The sand doesn't go through the pump.

Early days yet, just figuring out what it would cost.

also look at air lift pumps.
