Yellow house book ok as residency proof for car registration

Just checking if the yellow house book (as condo owner I got it and pink card at the local tambon) ok as residency proof for car registration when buying a car?

Yellow book only, pink card is of no use whatsoever. Sometimes a little jumped up nobody with a whistle may say a letter of residence is required so its pot luck where you are and who you get

Your passport and yellow house book what more proof of address do they need when buying a car.

If car dealer wants more then go to another dealer.

Depends.  Phuket Land Transport Office requires Certificate of Residence from Immigration and will not accept yellow book instead.  I understand the yellow book is acceptable in other provinces.

The Pink Card is of no use whatsoever? 

Beg to differ but this Farang has been using his card for Thai admission price to many venues throughout LOS for many years.

Yellow book fine in Mukdahan.

Passport alone meant I had to buy a car in my wife’s name, but once I got my yellow book I was allowed to transfer ownership to myself.

To buy a car or bike you just need money..the fun starts when trying to register it.

Yellow should be OK in pattaya, used mine the other day to change address in green book for my scooter when renewing rego, although I renewed rego at mityon dealer from where I purchased bike.

Same in Trat but depends what woman serves you. I was told "get letter" immigration rang them said, not necessary. woman at L T O i WANT the letter. Got back to LTO new lady said i didn't need it. Thanks to Trat immigration for trying to help. got the letter quick and at No charge ????  Get the letter and i believe it's good for a month.
