I personally think the payment structure is terrible.  The model is all based on drinks which will generally mean getting drinks pushed on you by bar staff, girls and even mamasams and of course this turns many a thai lady into an alcoholic.

 

Here is what they generally do.  A lot of bullshit by these peahead bar owners saying they are paying 1000 per day in gogos.  Well they are paying 1000 per day if the gal gets 5 drinks a day an impossible task for 90 percent of the gals in low season.  So they make deductions for gals not getting drinks and fine as much as 200 for minutes late and I have seen gals think they can make 10000 baht making 2 or 3 thousand for working 10 days.  Many an owner are not even paying min wage.  

 

This is the situation for gogos and many a beer bar.  My guess is with the o.p. punter the gals had probably just given up and were more interested in their phones.  I put the onus on management not the gals.

No, once again sometimes 7-11 prices are cheaper than the so called "suppliers"

 

And not they do not throw it anything, but if you buy 100 boxes you may get free 1 or 2 box and the 100 must be at the same time.

 

Suppliers do not throw in any girls, its promotion provided by the beer company themselves, Must buy certain amount at a time to have this deal.

 

San Mig, use to offer 1 girl if buy 3 kegs, from memory keg can only be sold for 2 days, after that its use by expires.(or something along the lines)
