Personally I think they should take a look at the sewers of Paris.  They started building them in 1850 and they are still working just fine.

Love the way they clear them.  They have a boat that has wooden blades that swing out to the sides and help form a scoop.  The flowing water pushes the boat through the sewer while it scoops up the trash and greaseburgs.

Here in Thailand they wouldn't even need the boats, just give a few prisoners some boards and let the rushing flood of filthy mixed rain and sewer water push them through the sewers.  The prisoner's next life would be much better because of all the merit they would gain doing this.

Dont they realise by now, that the flooding problem is not a 218 MILLION baht one, its more like a 218 BILLION baht problem.

218 M will surely buy them a few " Aquavac " wet vacuum machines, but little else

Am I mistaken, or last week wasn't it something like 66 million Baht was needed?

Yes but the extra increase in budget is for the brown envelopes that are passed to the usual suspects for allowing some work to be seen to be done.

No need to complain, it all drains in a few hours and then they can get back to fixing the beach.
