How to clean stained with time kitchen shelves.

I attach some images of my kitchen shelves, after a period of thirteen years they are discolouring.
I was wondering if there is a solution or product that can remove this yellow discolouration, to restore it back to being white once more. That will not have a detrimental effect on the surface itself.
The kitchen installer suggested using paint thinner, this has not worked.

They are going to need a few coats of paint.

Applied by the missus of course.   LOL

You could put some paper on the shelves, or keep them full so no stains can be seen, or not let anyone else in your kitchen to see them, and tell them to eff off if they do mention that your 13 year old shelves look a bit jaded.

what about adhesive backed plastic contact? You could also get a cabinet maker to glue and install new laminate on the shelves in situ.

Try Borax mixed with a little white vinegar and lot of water.

Maybe nothing will fully restore to new appearance, so perhaps the objective is to 100% remove the grime (which probably contains cooking oil) before painting can be done well and achieve a good result.

I think a dozen cans of baked beans should cover up your concerns.

My guess is that the wife has just left you and has taken all 30bottles of soy sauce with her.
