PM asks public and parliament to have faith in his government

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has asked the public and parliament to have faith that the government, under his leadership, will perform its duties to its best ability for the people and with honesty and transparency, while maintaining the rule of law and financial discipline.

In his address at the end of the two days of debate on the government’s policy statement, the Prime Minister said that it had been his first opportunity to get to know the legislators, even though some might not like him.

He said that mutual respect is important and he offered an apology for his emotional outbursts during the debate while stressing that, from now on, there will be no time for bickering.

Perhaps asking the people you have said such nasty things about to have faith in you is a bit optimistic. First they need attitude adjustment, now they get befriended. Hopeful isn't he?

'Forget about the coup. Forget about the rigged election. Forget about the threats, attitude adjustments and jailings and let's start on a nice clean page, eh...?'

Somehow I don't see that happening.

Yeah - not enough paper.

The Grand Master of the Thai tanty!

Apologies from this person are worthless.

He was only elected to the position of PM by his old junta mates (now the PPP)  plus a few useless unprincipled members from other parties (Democrats) who he paid off by handing out ministries.

"there will be no time for bickering."  In other words, if HE considers questioning "bickering", HE just won't allow it.

Imagine what a paradise Thailand would be if the politicians (and generals) actually...did...the great and wonderful things they promise to do?

This is the telling bit in the story. " government, under his leadership, will perform its duties to its best ability "

Do not expect too much then folks. A low bar has been set.

Have faith in his government (in HIM).......

HE should save his breath and realize that ---- to have faith in somebody it NEEDS to be 'earned' and 'deserved'.......... He has had 5 years already to earn/deserve it.......  TOO LATE NOW........

Says the chap with the 1 million baht Patek Philippe watch.

Assume Prayut "borrowed" it from Prawit, perhaps when the latter was snoozing?
