Did you miss the part where the U.S. is footing the bill to maintain 34,000 troops in Germany for their protection? I think the U.S. has a right to question Germany on participation. I would like to see Trump pull all the troops out of Germany. Let Germany foot the bill for their own defence.

I seriously doubt the US troops are in Germany to protect German interests.  Its just not the way the US does things.

As this was all caused by Trump reversing everything that Obama had accomplished, against the advice of his own generals and allies, then, it's understandable that other countries are wary of getting

really - everyone likes to think about Nazi's - yes it wasn't us it was that other crowd who were not German

sorry but they were Germans through and through - you can paint it whatever colour you want up to you

as for the French - well they get what they are getting right now - they have very short memories

My memory is long

It probably represents most of what you call a brain. If you look in a history book you will find that down the centuries Britain has been the most aggressive invader of all. It is no coincidence that the most militaristic country in the world (thank you for your service ) speaks something they call English.

They want to turn what was once a peaceful trading block into a military empire - have you been sleeping for years

anyway you carry on in your blissful little dream world of harmony and peace - smart people know exactly what man is capable of - there is a well proven formula and documented history of evil deeds - I hope I am not around to experience the next chapter - one thing I am absolutely sure of - it is coming

Hardly a military empire, unlike the heart holding, anthem singing, gun crazy Americans Patriotism is thankfully low in Europe, they react pragmatically and with logic. It is better to have your own military block than have to rely on a well known liar whose opinions change according to Fox news broadcasts.

If smart people know exactly what man is capable of then the only trustworthy intelligent beings would have to be non-human (unless of course you were referring to gender). So what nationalities are you claiming not to be human?

America has been protecting Europe since the end of WW II. Europe rebuilt itself thanks to the protection it received and financial assistance from America. It also benefited from the open markets where it sold its goods. Trump hating parrots can keep squawking all the like but it doesn't change the fact that Germany has benefited greatly from America. Now that Trump called them out on defense agreements and trade practices they cry about. Ungrateful they are without Americas umbrella Putin would already be building Vodka distilleries in Paris. Oh and please don't mention Europes armies by the time they agree to set a meeting to discuss the Russian tanks rolling across the border then set a date for another meeting to decide who will participate in the defense then set another meeting to let France and Germany fight over who will lead the force Europe will already be a Russian speaking continent.

You elected a moron, and that's your right, but now you want to whole world to obey your moron. It does not work like this.

It has not much to do with USA 'in general', but a lot to do with Trump himself.

Their strategy is very clear from the start: DT created this mess and they don't want to be dragged into it.

But dragged into it, one way or another, willing or not, they probably will.

The US, France and the UK, have protected Germany for a long long time. Recent German governments have taken advantage of this by refusing to meet their NATO defense spending commitments.

The German 'economic miracle" has been funded for years by the main Allies. Time Germany started paying it's own way and perhaps even reimbursing some.

For faked wars or idi@ts like Trump??  Get real.

Considering your words, Germany should have "reimbursed" the protection after WW2 by being allies in a faked war as in Iraq.

Trump (and therefore the USA) is responsible for the mess in the Str. of Hormuz. GB under BoJo follows the other scatterbrain across the Atlantic, the same situation as in the Iraq War (also called the American War).

BTW, Germany "pays" back for the sins, produced by USA and GB in the ME. I guess, that's more than the 2% claimed by the man with the big mouth and the small brain in the WH.

I doubt that would be the case, they would lose their reputation as a trading partner besides which Germany has more investments in Russia than all the Western nations put together, the shoe would be on the other foot I think.

I guess Baerboxer doesn't know or forgot that Germany should take the fracked gas of the USA instead - as "ordered" by Trump.

Trump tries to regulate the world - he acts  as he was used in his own companies :neus:.  But he cannot change his autocratic behavior.

Indeed, the UK ought to be careful with the 'fantastic' trade deal with America. Already, before there is one, Trump has balled his fist, 'don't tax American media companies or there is no deal', imagine what will happen when the UK is fully under his foot.

Trump with his MAGA slogan started a big mess, criticizing the majority of USA "old by time not by age" allies, he threatened the majority of them with sanctions or other similar negative actions, he said that he could go at it alone....here he is, alone no allies
